This isn't the end of the story, I'm going to follow this up with Tracie looking back 40 years on. The
character of Heather was a 60's Mod girl and, is one of my very best friends. During the 1950's and
60's, Kilgour French and Stanbury, were arguably the best tailor in the world. Edward Sexton and John
Davis both trained at Kilgour under Fred Stanbury . Both are very passionate about their craft and
have a good eye for design. They were the tailors for Tommy Nutter, and Micheal Fish respectively,
when those men were the leading names in fashion in London during the late 60's.
" I see it as Mod meets Mayfair" Micheal Caine's explanation of his fashion sense.
Mark Glover is a guy I know on the Mod scene who is as dedicated to music as these tailors are to
their craft, and Mark Matthews is the brother of an ex Savile Row tailor and husband of Heather. Tracie
is the girl I hope to meet one day.
